Andrew Hampy

Partner

Andrew HampyAndrew graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies with an emphasis in Business Technology in Consumer Society. He continued his studies at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. It was here that he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Motion Picture Television with an emphasis in post-production. Andrew has worked on a broad rage of projects including a feature length film entitled “Sense Of Need” that has won several international and domestic film festival awards. He joined forces with PBS affiliate KCSM in San Mateo, CA and award winning producer Josh Springer, as second unit camera, to help produce a feature length documentary entitled “Beyond The Scars.” Andrew has worked on many different commercial projects including a three part television commercial series for “Albertson’s Bay To Breakers” where he was head of post-production.

Andrew’s experience as both a gymnast and in film production, works as a driving creative force behind Shortkid Productions. He has a long time gymnastics career mixed with an education in editing and film production.  While attending U.C. Berkeley, Andrew was two-time team captain of the Men’s Gymnastics Team. He was a five-time NCAA All American and the team was NCAA Team Champions two consecutive years.

 

Mark A. Meyer

Mark MeyerMark has an extensive background in Business Development and Marketing for technology-related industries. He has held management positions at several start-up firms and was instrumental in guiding them to realize their full potential. Two of these firms include Wireless Plus, Inc., acquired by Securicor now G4S, and ezboard, Inc., acquired by KickApps. At ezboard, Mark was Director of Business Development, during his tenure the start-up grew to become a top-150 web property and continues to thrive today. As Co-Founder and Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Wireless Plus, Inc., Mark was instrumental in growing the company from a start-up to one of the largest FCC licensed Specialized Mobile Radio service providers in the United States prior to its acquisition. Previously, Mark was Western Regional Sales Manager for Bausch & Lomb. Mark majored in Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management at Clarkson University.

Mark plays an important role in the development of Shortkid Productions.  He brings not only his business acumen to the company, but also his participation in the sport of gymnastics and his love of the film arts.  Mark was a competitive gymnast for several years and continues to actively support the sport today. In addition, he is an amateur black and white photographer, and is experienced with 16mm film production. His dedication and drive for his work and interests have provided him the vision for bringing Shortkid Productions to life.

 


Edward Dailey

Advisor

Ed has 20+ years of business experience as an entrepreneur, senior operating/financial manager and strategic advisor to emerging growth companies and turnarounds.  He currently works as a consultant to several client companies, including IKANO Communications – a $55 million VC-backed Internet service provider – where he serves as interim finance executive supporting the CEO on acquisitions, financing, strategy, organization planning and operations.  During Ed’s 24-month tenure, IKANO has doubled in size and increased cash flow 10x through two successful acquisitions, cost reductions and improved operating efficiencies.

Previously, Ed was co-founder & CFO of ezboard, acquired by KickApps, a leading web-based social networking site with 10 million unique users.  He continues to serve on the company’s board of directors.  Ed was also a principal at Data Express, a start-up developer of automatic vehicle location solutions that was acquired by Securicor, now G4S.  He served as President & CFO of Informer Computer Systems, a closely-held manufacturer of 9-1-1 public safety equipment, where he remains a board member.

Ed began his career in the investment group at Aetna Life & Casualty, working on multi-million dollar debt restructurings and turnarounds.  He later became CFO of a financially troubled developer of shopping centers, which he restructured and sold to Weyerhaeuser.  He then served as CFO of Alliance Home Care Management, a fast growing home health service provider.

Ed received a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Notre Dame and an MBA with distinction from Cornell University.  He was a 4-year member of the crew team (rowing) at Notre Dame.  Ed is married with two children and lives in Newport Beach, California.

 

Jack Isgro

Advisor

Currently Jack is the Executive Director of Motion Picture & Television Industry Outreach at The Academy of Art University. He has more than twenty years of motion picture experience, primarily as a Line Producer/Production Manager. He has worked on several independent feature films and dozens of main title opening sequences for major motion pictures and network television. His projects include among many others, Jake and the Fat Man, FM, Short Circuit, Innerspace, Star Trek VI and The Bold And The Beautiful. Another project with which he was associated is Music in High Places, which combined top music stars and sacred locations around the globe. It aired on both MTV and Direct TV. Jack has been at the Academy of Art University since 1998.

Jack's Distinctions: BA in Psychology from St. John Fisher College, 1972, Associate Director of Motion Pictures & Television-2 years, MFA Director-2 years, and Director of the School of Motion Pictures & Television since 2003.
